Austin Thompson is so excited to be making his debut performance with the City Cabaret. Austin is a native of OKC and, despite being a consistent flight risk, is planning to stick around for a little while. He is a proud graduate of Oklahoma City University, where he studied Music Theatre. His proudest roles to date include Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie, Monty in Violet, Gretta in Bent, Man on Couch in the newest Bob Mill’s furniture commercial, and Hostess in Packard’s New American Kitchen. Austin is a current student of Catherine McDaniel. He would like to thank Corie and everyone at City Cabaret for allowing him to join a team as talented and creative as this one.
Kendon Lacy
Kendon Lacy has performed in many different avenues, most notably with the musical improv troupes Night Rhymers & BitSing, where he has performed at the Chicago Improv Festival, Dallas Comedy Festival, Austin, TX & Kansas City. His non-musical improv troupes inlude Kyle & Kendon, Reunited, as well as The HubBub Improv Group, performing every Thursday Night at 7:30pm at District House. Kendon serves on staff for OKC Improv as Program Director. In theatre, Kendon's most recent projects have been Impression Live's regular Holiday show "This Christmas" as well as playing the role of Ralph D in KnockDownDragOut's "The Motherf*cker With The Hat." Marita Stryker
Marita Strykeris so honored to be a part of such a magical company, City Cabaret! She grew up in Austin, Texas, then went on to receive her bachelors and masters degrees from Oklahoma City University, studying with the legendary Florence Birdwell. Favorite theatre credits include Florence in Chess, Lucy in Charlie Brown, Polly in Crazy for You, Peron's Mistress in Evita, and Bet to Stephanie J. Block’s Nancy in Oliver. She has traveled the country with the National Tour of John Doyle’s Sweeney Todd and traveled the world with Celebrity and Holland America Cruise Lines. After living in New York City for eight years, Marita is now happy to return to beautiful Oklahoma City, where she teaches voice at the Wanda L. Bass School of Music at OCU, and celebrates life with her husband Maurizio, daughter Penelope and furry friends Stitch and Rosie.
Emily Etherton
Emily Etherton has been involved in the OKC artistic community for almost two decades as an actor, singer, writer, and director. She is a founding member of KnockDownDragOut Productions and Ghostlight Theatre Club, and co-writes their annual original (and wildly irreverent) Christmas show, Screw the Eggnog, Pass the Rum. Currently, Emily is rehearsing for KnockDownDragOut's upcoming production of Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Motherf**cker with the Hat, performing at ACTS Warehouse Studio in August.
Sheridan McMichael
Sheridan McMichael is an Oklahoma City-based composer and theatre artist. Recent acting credits include: Lyric Theatre's The Fantasticks (the Mute), Pageant (Miss Great Plains), and Spring Awakening (Hanschen) and Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre's Avenue Q (Princeton/Rod [u/s]) and A Funny Thing Happened... (Hero [u/s]). His compositions have been heard in productions of the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (Pageantry, 2014), the Oklahoma City Film Club (Gertie, the Dinosaur, 2014), and Nichols Hills United Methodist Church. Choreography credits include: the Oklahoma Senior Follies, Oklahoma City Community College's Home for the Holidays, and multiple productions of the Oklahoma Children's Theatre. sheridanmcmichael.com
The City Cabaret Band
Chris Black, Bassist, is a native of Oklahoma City and a graduate of Oklahoma City University in music education and business. He has performed in a wide range of genres including orchestra, music theatre, big band, jazz, rock, pop, bluegrass, and mariachi. His current projects include Grassland Caravan, a progressive bluegrass band, and The Savoy Trio, a combo focusing on the golden era of jazz.
Michelle Hedges, Drums, studied percussion and trombone performance at Southeast Missouri State University. She was the drummer for the award winning, cover band, Satin Britches based in Atlanta, GA. She played drums in Oklahoma City Theatre Company’s Gypsy in 2012 and Jesus Christ Superstar in 2014. Currently, Michelle plays trombone in the MidDel Jazz Orchestra, drums in the Nichols Hills Band, and is half of the piano duo Melaugh and Hedges. She gives private lessons in brass, percussion, and piano in the Oklahoma City area.
